Up For A Swim? Not In These Waters

The last time our lens focused on the Manayunk canal, the body of water separating downtown Manayunk from Venice Island was looking a little swolen.

The elevated water levels were due to the heavy rains that fell late last week.

This week, we decided to highlight the canal, which will soon see some major upgrades in the form of dredging and bank restoration.

Outdoor recreation enthusiasts are excited for the day when the canal, long filled with stagnant waters, can perhaps one day be beautiful again.
