W Hunting-Ridge Ave Intersection Closing Saturday In Philadelphia
Crews will shut down the intersection for several hours Saturday to remove dangerous trees.

PHILADELPHIA – An intersection in the Allegheny West section of Philadelphia is closing for several hours Saturday, according to the Parks and Recreation department.
The intersection of 3300 W. Hunting Park Ave. and Ridge Avenue will close Saturday, Feb. 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to officials.
Motorists traveling northbound on Ridge Avenue should detour east onto Lehigh Avenue. Southbound Ridge Avenue lanes will be open to traffic.

The temporary closure will allow department staff to remove several dangerous trees.
The department said it will make every effort to minimize the inconvenience to affected drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists, residents, and businesses.
