What's Closed on Thanksgiving?

Not all, but many stores and eateries close for Thanksgiving Nov. 22. 

All public, parochial and private schools are off for both Thursday and Friday.

Additionally, the City of Philadelphia's municipal officers are closed and many government services are unavailable Thursday. Trash pickup for Thursday collection will resume Friday. And city offices will reopen. Read more here.

All banks and the post office will close Thursday, as well, and will reopen Friday.
