Woman Stabbed To Death In Front Of Kids On Christmas: Police

A 33-year-old Philadelphia man is accused of stabbing a woman to death, as well as stabbing a teenager in the leg, on Christmas Day.

PHILADELPHIA — A 33-year-old man is facing murder and related charged after police said he stabbed a woman to death in front of children on Christmas Day.

According to Philadelphia Police, Josue Quino is facing murder, attempted murder, corruption of minors, endangering the welfare of children, and related charges in connection with the Christmas Day stabbing.

The scene unfolded at about 3:23 a.m. on Christmas at a home on the 5600 block of North Mascher Street.

Officers were called to the home for a report of a stabbing and found a 35-year-old woman suffering stab wounds to her body.

The victim was identified as Juana Us-Perez, who lived on the 5600 block of Mascher, police said.

They also found a 14-year-old boy suffering from a stab wound to his right leg.

The woman was taken to Einstein Medical Center where she was pronounced dead at 3:36 a.m.

Police arrested Quino at about 3:25 a.m. on Christmas Day on the same block of Mascher.

Quino's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 15, court records show.
