'You Bet Your Garden' Host Speaking At Schuylkill Center
Let host Mike McGrath teach you about summer foliage, how to care and cultivate native plants, and what plants are best to local gardens.

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA – One of WHYY's nationally syndicated programs will have its host stop by the Schuylkill Center in Roxborough next week to discuss all things summer foliage. Attendees will also have a chance to get in on the center's summer plant sale early.
Mike McGrath, host of WHYY's nationally syndicated show "You Bet You Garden," will give a presentation from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Schuylkill Center on Wednesday, June 21.
McGrath will preview the perennials, shrubs, vines and trees that bloom during warm weather months at the presentation.

He will also show attendees what native plants are best for local gardens while exploring the center's 340-acre property in Roxborough.
And of course he will offer tips on how to care for and cultivate those plants with the help of the Schuylkill Center's Andrew Kirkpatrick.

Also, at the June 21 event attendees can get in on the summer native plant sale three days early before they go on sale June 24. Check out the plant catalog online here.
