Drunken Mom Pleads Guilty to Child Endangerment Charges

Online court records say Jasmine R. Dawson, 33, of Allen Township pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of children for being found drunk and passed out in a car with her 3-year-old son.

An Allen Township woman who has been in Lehigh County Prison after she was found by Salisbury Police passed out drunk in a car in August with her 3-year-old son in tow pleaded guilty to charges Wednesday, according to online court records.

The records say Jasmine R. Dawson, 33, was charged with endangering the welfare of children -- a grade-three felony -- and misdemeanor DUI.

Reports said Dawson was found by two men in the 1600 block of Riverside Drive passed out in the front seat with the car running and her son standing in the front seat. Salisbury Police were then called.

Dawson is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 11 by Lehigh County Judge Maria Dantos.
