Salisbury Applebee's to donate to Salisbury Fire Department

The local Salisbury Applebee’s is slated to donate $1,200 to the Salisbury Fire Dept. No. 1 at 6:00PM on January 19th at the Salisbury Applebee’s location. The Applebee’s Apple and Bee, Salisbury Fire mascot, area volunteer fire fighters, and even a few fire trucks will support Fire Chief Richard Hoppes as he accepts the donation that will purchase 100 smoke alarms for the area’s less fortunate homes. The number of fatalities by fire has been cut in half since 1975 largely due to smoke alarm usage, and this donation will help play a part in that lifesaving statistic.
