Will Haunted Barn Operate This Year?
Owner Domonic Giles is required to come back to the Salisbury Township Building Code Board of Appeals to demonstrate that the building, located at 3350 Devonshire Road, meets codes concerning ventilation and fire protection.
Last month, the owner of the Devil's Folly Barn Attraction in Salisbury Township said he wasn't sure if it will open in October after the township's Building Code Board of Appeals denied requests for two waivers last month.
However, on Wednesday, the Salisbury School Board voted to allow the Devils Folly to use the parking lot at the Salisbury Middle School on Oct. 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25 and 26, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., for the haunted barn parking.
Owner Domonic Giles was required to come back to the Building Code Board of Appeals to demonstrate that the building, located at 3350 Devonshire Road, meets codes concerning ventilation and fire protection in order to obtain a yearly certificate of occupancy.
According to the Salisbury Township website, no such public meeting between the two sides has been scheduled.
