The team earned the victory on the powerful arm of Gerrit Cole, who threw seven innings, allowing only two runs and striking out seven.
The Bucs still trailed the Marlins late in the game, however, and rallied for all five of their runs against Marlins relievers in the bottom of the seventh inning.
The Pirates will take their winning streak to San Diego on Thursday, where they will face a Padres team also embroiled in the wild card race.
