Man Shot, In Critical Condition After Clairton Home Invasion

A home invasion Tuesday night left a man in critical condition.

A Clairton man is in critical condition after being shot during a home invasion on Tuesday night, according to Allegheny County Police.

Police responded to a call in the 400 block of Miller Avenue shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday after a 55-year-old man, who has not been identified, was shot in the neck, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The man’s fiancee was at home at the time, but was unharmed.

Neither the man nor the woman’s names have been released at this time.

The home invasion took place only a couple of blocks away from a condemned building, which once operated as an illegal speakeasy where six people were shot on Nov. 21, according to the Post-Gazette. Police do not believe the two shootings are connected.
