Parents Arrested Following Death of 5 Week Old Infant

Law enforcement are waiting for results from the autopsy.

At roughly 5:45 am yesterday morning the Wilkinsburg Police and Paramedics were dispatched to 1718 McNary Blvd. in response to a call for an unresponsive infant. There they found a 5 week old female infant unresponsive. The infant was transported to a local area hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Detectives from the Allegheny County Police Homicide unit initiated an investigation. Through the course of that investigation it was determined that Lincoln Levys and Sheena Alston lived together with three children ages 5 weeks, 20 months, and 7 years. They are the biological parents of the two younger children and only Alston is the biological mother of the 7 year old.

The investigation revealed that Levys had assaulted/injured all three of the children over the past four years. Levys was arrested and charged with 3 counts of aggravated assault, 3 counts of endangering the welfare of children and possession of marijuana.
