Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck by Several Vehicles on Parkway East
Police are investigating what led to a fatal pedestrian accident on Wednesday night.

A man was struck by at least three cars and killed while walking along Parkway East late Wednesday night, police said.
The man, identified as Christopher Ballard, 44, of Morgantown, West Virginia, was walking in the left lane along Parkway East and was struck by a blue car around 11:30 p.m., about a half mile east of the Boulevard of the Allies exit, according to KDKA-TV Pittsburgh. The impact of the crash threw Ballard into the westbound lanes of the parkway, where he was struck by two more cars. None of the vehicles that struck Ballard stopped driving.
After collecting evidence at the scene, Pennsylvania State Police believe a blue car initially struck Ballard, KDKA said. Police suspect the vehicle should have significant front-end damage. Police do not have any description of the two vehicles that struck Ballard in the westbound lanes.
