New Sewickley police are searching for a driver who fired a gun at a passing vehicle this morning.
The victim, a woman who has not been identified, said she was wrong when she crossed a double-yellow line to pass a vehicle, but did not expect to be the recipient of gunfire as a result, according to KDKA Pittsburgh. The incident happened around 7 a.m. on Tuesday. The woman was not hurt and the bullet was found in the backdoor on her vehicle, according to police.
New Sewickley Police Det. Greg Carney said the woman waited until there was a stretch of straight road to pass the vehicle in front of her and as she was passing the vehicle, the driver fired a shot at her car, KDKA reports. After the shooting, the woman stopped at a nearby convenience store to ensure that she was not being followed.
