Fifth-grade teams from Osborne and Edgeworth Elementary Schools participated in the annual CalcuSolve math event on Friday, January 29, 2021.

Students from school districts throughout the region competed in this virtual event that was sponsored by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit.
The competition included nine rounds of very challenging math problems. Seven problems were solved individually, and two questions were answered as a group. Awards were given for outstanding individual and team performances.

The following students participated in CalcuSolve:
Edgeworth Elementary Team: Savvy Cannon, Abby Johnson, Rachel Johnson, and Vito Pogue
Osborne Elementary Team: Nic Cohen, Michael Fuener, River Piatt, and Connor Sheridan
Congratulations to Nic Cohen, Vito Pogue, and Connor Sheridan—They solved each individual problem correctly and tied for 1st place with seven other 5th & 6th graders in the region.
