The Quaker Valley team is comprised of seniors Gabe Musial, Emma Parker, Christian Inacio, Felix Cooper, Brody Jones, and Cameron Bishop. Coached by high school math teacher Matt Welch and assisted by academic specialist Linda Conlon, the team will compete on Hometown High Q against teams from Brashear and Leechburg High Schools. This is the 16th consecutive year Quaker Valley High School has competed in KDKA's Hometown High Q. Quaker Valley has qualified for the High Q Playoffs in six of the last seven years.

The half-hour show pits three school teams, which are comprised of three students each, against one another. Students must answer questions from a variety of general high school curriculum subject areas. The top nine schools in the competition are awarded educational grants provided by Williams.
