Sewickley's Allegheny Fluid Power Acquired by RG Group

Sewickley-based Allegheny Fluid Power has announced its acquisition by RG Group, based in York, York County.

Allegheny Fluid Power is a full-service pneumatic and automation distributor that serves customers in Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The company provides technical distribution services for GAST Manufacturing, an international firm that designs and produces vacuum pumps, compressors, motors and other types of air-moving equipment.

"We believe RG Group was the right choice for us," Allegheny Fluid Power President Greg Lytle said.

"RG provides excellent customer service with a commitment to maintain the value of the existing Allegheny Fluid Power customer relationships. Our current customer base will now have access to a larger inventory and improved value added capabilities. "

Lytle did not disclose terms of the purchase. Allegheny Fluid Power, founded in 1983, will continue to operate in Sewickley.
