Sustainable Business Cash Mob in Ambridge

Sustainable Pittsburgh’s Champions for Sustainability program, Town Center Associates, Ambridge Chamber of Commerce, and Ambridge Connection are organizing a “Cash Mob” to support sustainable businesses in Ambridge. The Cash Mob will hit on Friday, November 14, between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

A “Cash Mob” is a group of individuals who set out to spend money at small, local businesses in order to support their cause. The public is invited to participate in the Ambridge Cash Mob by patronizing the following businesses:

• Blue Canary Coffeehouse – 2751 Duss Avenue

• Heritage Floral Shoppe – 663 Merchant Street
• Moonbeam Jar – 812 Merchant Street
• R & S Enterprises Printing, Inc. – 1008 Merchant Street
• Recycled Dreams at the Silk House Café – 317 14th Street
• Ringel’s Ceramics – 549 Merchant Street
• Scary Earthworm – 834 Merchant Street
• Stangl’s Bakery – 572 Merchant Street
• Trinity School Book Store – 311 11th Street
• Una Bella Beauty and Wellness Studio​ – 611 Merchant Street

Sustainable businesses take actions that simultaneously are good for their bottom line, the environment, and the social fabric of their communities.

The event in Ambridge will be the third Cash Mob Sustainable Pittsburgh’s Champions for Sustainability program has hosted. At past cash mobs, over 80% of participating businesses doubled their customers and sales when the cash mob hit them. All told, 145 establishments have earned the Sustainable Small Business Designation in 27 communities around the region. Individuals are encouraged to visit them all!
