Two Allegheny County Inmates Dead, Cause Unknown: Report
Two Allegheny County prison inmates have died, and the cause of death has not yet been released.

Two Allegheny County inmates died on Thursday, according to the county medical examiner’s office.
Officials have not yet said what caused the death of either of the men. Autopsies are scheduled for Friday.
Timothy Leininger, 27, died at UPMC Mercy Hospital at 3:47 p.m. on Thursday, according to the medical examiner.

Leininger was arrested by the University of Pittsburgh police on January 9 for making terroristic threats, police said.
Leininger was being treated for psychiatric issues when authorities say he allegedly lost control.

“I’m gonna stab Becky, and I’m gonna smash you,” Leininger said to his psychiatrist, leading to his arrest, police said.
It is unclear who Becky is or what Leininger meant by ”smash,” but authorities took the statement seriously enough that he has been in Allegheny County Jail after failing to post bail ever since.
The second inmate that died Thursday was 23-year-old Monty Crawford, who died inside the jail at about 8:30 p.m., police said.
Crawford had been charged with the rape of a 13-year-old girl, according to police.
It is not known if either of the men died under suspicious circumstances or from natural causes.
These are the third and fourth inmate deaths in Allegheny County this year, the Post-Gazette reports, and the seven deaths in the prison last year is over double the national average.
