Car doesn't Stop after Hitting, Injuring Man on Motorcycle

On Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. police report Mark Thierbach, who was on a motorcycle, was stopped at the intesersection of Mechanicsville and Mauch Chunk roads waiting to take a left turn when an unknown vehicle traveling south on Mauch Chunk struck him.

A witness who was also stopped at the intersection told police he saw the incident, which propelled Thierbach to the southeast corner of the intersection. Neither the witness nor Thierbach was able to describe the offending car.

The offending car did not stop and Thierbach was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital.
