Christmas Eve Worship Services: Your Week

Christmas arrives Wednesday, a time for many of us to slow down and spend some time with friends and loved ones.

Here’s what’s going on in South Whitehall this week:

• Parkland Schools are closed this week for the Christmas vacation and will remain closed through New Year’s Day.

• South Whitehall Township municipal offices will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.

• The Parkland Community Library will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.

• The Spirit of the Lehigh Valley holds its annual Christmas Eve event from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Holiday Inn in Breinigsville. About 4,500 people are expected to attend.

• The Jordan United Church of Christ, 1837 Church Road, will hold Christmas Eve services at 2 p.m., 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. The children and family service will be held at 5. Traditional candlelight services will be held at 7 and 9.

• The Asbury Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, will hold traditional Christmas Eve services at 1 p.m., 7 p.m., 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. A family service will be held at 3 p.m. The church will have an open door at 4:15 p.m. for alternative worship.
