Coplay Woman Injured in North Whitehall Pedestrian Hit-and-Run
A 42-year-old woman is in critical condition after a hit-and-run Tuesday night.

A Coplay woman is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday while crossing Route 873 in North Whitehall, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Jennifer E. Dietrich, 42, was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest after being struck by an SUV or truck in the northbound lanes near 5060 Route 873 while she was crossing the road, according to The Express-Times. The driver of the vehicle did not stop after striking Dietrich, continuing northbound on Route 873, police said.
Police are searching for a dark-colored truck or SUV that may have front-end damage to the passenger side. Police at one point on Tuesday said they were searching for a dark-colored Ford Ranger, likely with damage to its front-end passenger fender and a missing passenger-side headlight, The Morning Call reported.
