Last Day to Get On Santa Run: Your Thursday

Also, library knitting circle, township Planning Commission and Parkland School Board meet.

Today will be the last day you can arrange to have a special child you know be a part of the Greenawalds Fire Co. Santa Run.

From 5 to 9 p.m. tonight, the fire company at 2500 Focht Ave. will accept wrapped presents to be delivered by Santa Claus, who will ride a fire truck to homes on Saturday between noon and 9 p.m.

Make sure the child’s name, address and telephone number are written clearly and attached to the gift.

  • The Parkland Community Library knitting circle meets at 1:30 p.m. Open to knitters of all ages and skill levels.
  • The South Whitehall Township Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. at the municipal building on Walbert Avenue. They will discuss the 30 West proposed development of eight single-family luxury homes and the South Whitehall portion of a large commercial development planned near the Tilghman Street entrance to the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
  • The Parkland School Board, which postponed its meeting Tuesday night because of snow, will have a workshop at 7 p.m. followed by a regular meeting at 8 p.m. at district headquarters.
