George W. Nuss Jr. 86 of Allentown passed away Wednesday Dec. 19, 2012 in the Lehigh Valley Hospice. He was the husband of Jacqueline L. (Anderson) Nuss, they were married 57 years.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late George W. Sr. and Mildred M. (Laubach) Nuss. He was a member of Emmanuel U.C.C. Allentown and served as an Elder and former president of the consistory. He served in the United States Navy on board the USS Tortuga, during World War II. He retired from Mack Trucks in 1985. He was a volunteer at the Lehigh Historical Society of Lehigh County and was a member of the Sea Explores #126.
Survivors: wife Jacqueline, daughters Nancy M. wife of Bruce Good of Allentown, Brenda J. Dudeck and her companion Craig Mertz of Boyertown, grandson Steve Goodand wife Melissa of Allentown, sisters, Betty Urffer of Emmaus, and Shirley wife of Richard Schaffer of Allentown.
