St. Luke's West End to Hold Open House Saturday
Health screenings, emergency vehicle tours and trick or treating for the kids during open house.

St. Luke’s West End Medical Center is holding an open house for the public from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in advance of opening its new Sports & Human Performance Center in a week.
- St. Luke’s QuickCare and Occupational Medicine – Blood pressure screenings
- St. Christopher’s Pediatric Urgent Care –Children’s height and weight checks
- OB/GYN Care Associates of St. Luke’s – Shoulder massages courtesy of St. Luke’s Sensational Reflections
- Lab Services – Cholesterol screenings
- Imaging Services – Bone density screenings
- St. Luke’s Spine & Pain Associates – Neck and back exercises
- Sports & Human Performance Center- Body composition analysis
Kids are encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes and go trick or treating through the building. There will also be mini pumpkin decorating, emergency vehicle tours, refreshments and a variety of other activities available to the public.
Meanwhile, the new Sports & Human Performance Center, inside the West End Medical Center at 501 Cetronia Road is accepting memberships.

The human performance center is designed for people of all ages and skill levels to maximize health and fitness potential.
It involves the use of scientifically proven methods that focus on physical/leisure activity; physical fitness; health fitness; performance fitness; exercise; metabolic training; and wellness.
The center is designed to serve the needs of its clientele ranging from adolescence to seniors, chronic disease and disability to elite levels of fitness.

The sports performance option is specifically focused on the sports performance enhancement needs of athletes. Most sports training programs emphasize only those physical qualities needed to perform a sport-specific skill such as throwing a ball or making a jump shot.
St. Luke’s Sports Performance Training takes it several steps further by applying a comprehensive approach to preparing athletes for competition by helping them develop appropriate strength and power, movement skills, mobility and flexibility and energy systems suitable for competition.
