Eat a delicious burger. Contribute to the Parkland Community Library.
That’s the premise behind a fundraiser going on—starting today and running through Saturday—at Five Guys Burgers, 4025 Tilghman St., Allentown, and 914 Airport Road, Hanover Township.
Present a library flyer before purchasing your meal and 15 percent of your purchase will be donated to the library. Call 610-395-4881 for more information about how to pick up your flyer.

Here’s what else is going on in and near South Whitehall Township today:
- The YMCA and YWCA of Allentown, 425 South 15th Street, hosts a free Community Fall Festival and Open House on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Class demonstrations, swimming, face-painting, games and prizes, refreshments, membership specials and much more. Congressman Charlie Dent is the guest speaker at 4:30 p.m.
- Former Allentown Police Chief Roger MacLean will be the keynote speaker at Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley’s annual Candlelight Vigil at 6 p.m. in Muhlenberg College’s Egner Chapel, 2400 Chew St., Allentown. The closing will honor all of those who have experienced domestic violence.
- Come to the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks in Bethlehem for a red carpet premiere of “Decoding Annie Parker,” a new film starring Helen Hunt and Samantha Morton, and contribute to the Cancer Support Community of the Lehigh Valley. The Red Carpet Reception from 5 to 6:30 pm includes live entertainment, pink champagne, light fare and a silent auction. The movie premiere is at 7 p.m. in the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas. A panel discussion on breast cancer follows. Tickets are from $35 to $100.
- Eight action packed bouts will highlight the night at "Fight Night at SteelStacks II" scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Musikfest Café, which is also in the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks. Former Heavyweight Champions James "Buster" Douglas and Larry Holmes will be on hand for a VIP ticket holder reception and autograph signing. Tickets are from $35 to $120.
