Veterans Day, Financial Aid Night: Your Week

As this week gets under way, let’s all take a moment to remember and thank all the veterans who have sacrificed and put themselves in harm’s way to defend our country.

• Monday is Veterans Day. Check out our list of openings and closings for the holiday.

• Orange-haired singer Hayley Williams and the rest of pop/punk hit-makers Paramore come to the Sands Bethlehem Event Center at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Tickets are $49.50 or four for $120.

• Parents with kids preparing for college can learn about financial aid Tuesday night at Parkland High School. The program begins at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium, and features information on FAFSA (Free Application For Federal Student Aid) Program, The CSS/Financial Aid Profile, and The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency Grant/Loan Programs.

• It's Movie Night Wednesday at Parkland Community Library. Showtime is at 6:30 p.m. Call or visit the library to find out what they're screening.

• The touring show of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” comes to the Sands Bethlehem Event Center at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Tickets are from $39.50 to $89.50 for a VIP meet-and-greet package.

• Are you an aspiring author? Join the Parkland Community Library's Writers Unite group, which meets Thursday at 7 p.m.
