When Will Presidential Election 2012 Results Be Announced?

For many people election day couldn't come soon enough and whether you're a voter who loves to follow politics or one who just can't wait for the ads be over the wait is almost done.

In Pennsylvania, polls close at 8 p.m. but we will have to wait until west coast polls close at 11 p.m. (eastern standard time) for a more complete picture. Exit polling might help indicate a winner but if history has taught us anything, early results are not always dependable.

At least one swing state, Virginia, closes early at 7 p.m. and Ohio closes at 7:30 p.m. so early returns from these places will be illuminating. Colorado closes its polls at 9 p.m. and other key states like Iowa and Nevada are closed at 10 p.m.
