Eat Some Insects, Trim a Victorian Hat This Weekend Near South Whitehall

- Eat some insects, live to tell about it. World-renowned Bug Chef David George Gordon will give three crowd-pleasing cooking demonstrations with insects and critters Saturday at the Da Vinci Science Center, 3145 Hamilton Blvd. Bypass. Demonstrations at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. Free with admission.
- Victorian Hat Trimming Workshop at the Allentown Art Museum, 31. N. 5th St., Allentown. 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Adjunct Curator of Textiles Kayla O’Connor presents a workshop for adults that begins with a brief gallery tour of the hats included in the exhibit, The Beautiful Bodice: Fashions from the 1890s, followed by demonstrations of basic hat trimming skills and Victorian ribbon working techniques in an easy and fun environment for beginners and experts.
- Job Fair at Lehigh Carbon Community College. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Sponsored by U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent. The event will feature some of the area's most prominent employers who are seeking talented and capable workers for a diverse range of positions.
- Saucon Valley Restaurant Week ends Saturday. Enjoy a meal at participating eateries in Hellertown and Lower Saucon Township.Visit the Hellertown Borough website for menus and additional information.
- Tony Bennett performs at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center at 8 p.m. Friday. Tickets start at $80.50 and are still available.
- The 10th annual Wine on the Mountain event, sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail will be held 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Penn's Peak near Jim Thorpe. Enjoy the spectacular view from the deck. Tickets cost $15 in advance or $20 at the door.Â
- The U.S. Cycling Junior Track Nationals through Sunday at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center, 1151 Mosser Road, Trexlertown.
