Woman Stole $18K in Jewelry from Home, Police Say

Brooke H. Grube is charged with stealing diamond and gold jewelry from a friend's house in South Whitehall, police say.

A 20-year-old South Whitehall woman is in prison after being charged with stealing $18,000 worth of jewelry from a township home, according to court documents.

On Tuesday, South Whitehall charged Brooke Haley Grube, of the first block of S. Scenic Street, with theft and receiving stolen property from the home on S. 38th Street, the documents said. 

Police said Grube took diamond bracelets, diamond rings, gold rings, gold earrings and gold necklaces from her friend's home between Sept. 22 and Sept. 29, according to Lehigh Valley Live.

Grube allegedly sold the stolen jewelry at the Gold Deposit in Lehigh Valley Mall, where she used the money to buy clothes and other items, according to The Morning Call.

Grube was arraigned Tuesday and sent to Lehigh County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail, according to court records.
