4 Delco CVS Locations Now Offering Drive-Thru Coronavirus Testing

CVS is expanding its drive-thru coronavirus testing serviced by adding another 27 testing locations across Pennsylvania.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — CVS is expanding its coronavirus testing availability by adding 27 more drive-thru testing locations across the state, with four now in Delaware County.

The CVS Pharmacy locations at 3930 West Chester Pike in Newtown Square, 1937 MacDade Boulevard in Folsom, and 5001 Township Line Road in Drexel Hill are among the new testing sites. The store at 795 Baltimore Pike in Springfield began testing last week.

The testing sites will use self-swab tests and mark the next phase of the company's nationwide coronavirus testing strategy.

Patients must register in advance at CVS's website here to schedule a testing appointment.

Patients will be required to stay in their cars and directed to the pharmacy drive-thru window where they will be provided with a test kit and given instructions; a CVS Pharmacy team member will observe the self swab process to ensure it is done properly.

Tests will be sent to an independent, third-party lab for processing and the results will be available in approximately three days.

The test sites in Pennsylvania are part of the first rollout of new sites, which includes 51 locations in Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.

Self-swab tests will be available to individuals meeting Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention criteria, in addition to age guidelines.

Testing will not take place inside any retail locations, and CVS Pharmacy, HealthHUB and MinuteClinic will continue to serve customers and patients.
