BHCU Kids Foundation Drives Expansion Of Service To At-Risk Kids
BHCU Kids Foundation presents the proceeds from its 2nd Annual Golf Classic to a team from The Community's Foundation.
The BHCU Kids Foundation presented a check for $17,013.31 to The Community’s Foundation (“TCF”) benefitting the Hope for Children Fund. The check represents 100% of the proceeds raised from the BHCU Kids Foundation Second Annual Golf Classic held last month at Radnor Valley Country Club. On the side of caution, the presentation was made over WebEx but it does not diminish the strong connection between these two organizations.
The BHCU Kids Foundation was established in 2019 with a simple mission of strengthening the Delaware County community by seeking to provide programs and support for our most at-risk youth, with the full knowledge and understanding that they are our future. BHCU Kids Foundation partnered with The Community’s Foundation (“TCF”) to endow the Hope for Children Fund, which provides direct services to abused and neglected children in Delaware County.
Proceeds from last year’s Golf Classic were invested to sponsor a volunteer, court-appointed advocate through CASA Youth Advocates; provide finding for a safe house through the Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County; provide essential items for teens in the foster care and justice system through Valley Youth House; and purchased refurbished routers and computers for children in Chester to assist with online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic through the Andrew Hicks Foundation.

During a pandemic, the success of BHCU Kids Foundation Second Annual Golf Classic was even more meaningful. “We are grateful for the support of BHCU members and the Delaware County community who made the event possible. We had a 32% increase in golfers, a 42% increase in Sponsorships, and most importantly we were able to raise $17,013!” says Ryan Conte, BHCU Head of Member Experience. “We look forward to expanding our relationship with TCF and making more of an impact in 2021 thru the Hope For Children Fund.”
