Cecily Tynan's Dog Has Gone Missing In Delco

The Action News meteorologist is asking for help from Delco residents in finding her recently-adopted dog that went missing Tuesday.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — A Philadelphia media figure is asking for help from Delaware County residents in finding her lost dog.

Cecily Tynan, meteorologist at 6ABC Action News, said her new dog is missing in the county.

Tynan said her family recently adopted Nala from MatchDog Rescue.

But she said she got a call from her husband saying the pup was missing right after the Action News broadcast at 11 p.m. Tuesday.

"I feel like I’m in a nightmare," she said on Facebook. "He took her out, turned his back, took a few steps to attend to our older dog, Kiwi, & Nala was gone, just like that."

She said they may have spotted Nala Wednesday, but said she believes it may have been a baby fox.

She is asking for anyone in the Media and Newtown Square areas to keep their eyes peeled for Nala and urged the public not to try to catch her.
