Delco Adding Another Vaccine Site In Springfield
Springfield Hospital will serve as another coronavirus vaccination site in Delaware County sometime in the next two months.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — Another place to get a coronavirus vaccine is set to open in Delaware County, as officials recently approved a partnership with Springfield Hospital.
The county and Crozer Health are teaming up to provide vaccine administration in the county.
County Council Wednesday unanimously approved the vaccine clinic agreement, which will last three months and can be extended up to six months, Delaware County Daily Times reports.

According to the Times, Springfield Hospital will provide and administer the Pfizer vaccine as well as personnel while county staff will handle clinic set up and breakdown, patient registration and data input, and supplies.

The clinic will be open from 10 a.m.to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday by appointment only.
The county has four vaccination sites up and running now. They are the Delaware County Wellness Center in Yeadon; the Aston Community Center; the Keystone First Wellness Clinic in Chester; and Penn Medicine in Radnor.
As of Friday, 41,234 people have been partially vaccinated in Delaware County and 37,343c have been fully vaccinated in the county.
Additionally, 38,388 people in the county have had the coronavirus and 1,290 have died from the virus as of Thursday.
