"I’ve been volunteering with Providence Animal Center for three years now and I’m proud that my fellow Allstate agency owners came together to support such a great organization," said Monica Perkins, Allstate agency owner in Boothwyn. "Giving back is core to who we are, which is why we’re proud to support Providence Animal Center in their efforts to provide animals with everything they need, including finding them loving homes."

The Helping Hands grant will support the Animal Center’s mission to rescue, care for, and protect thousands of animals.

Funds will be used for the center's kennel rebuild project, which will transform the adoption process and experience each animal has during their stay at the Center.

"We are so grateful for Allstate’s support," said Justina Calgiano, Providence Animal Center Director of Advancement and Public Relations. "The generous donations and Helping Hands grant will have a major impact on our kennel rebuild project. We want our rescued dogs to be more comfortable during their stay, which is something this project will help facilitate."

The new kennels will include heated radiant floors, improved ventilation and better acoustics so that visitors and animals alike will have calmer, more positive experiences. Once completed, which is estimated to be the fall of 2019, pending raising the funds to do so, the refreshed kennels are expected to decrease the average number of days a rescued dog will reside in the Center and expedite the adoption process.
