German Grocery Chain Lidl Opening In Delaware County
A German grocery chain is opening its very first Pennsylvania outpost in Delaware County on Dec. 5 and is offering grand opening deals.

A German-based grocer is getting ready to open its doors in Delaware County, which will be its first Pennsylvania outpost.
Lidl, which was recently ranked a top three U.S. supermarket by Food & Wine Magazine, is opening Wednesday Dec. 5 at 420 MacDade Boulevard in Folsom.
The store will open at 8 a.m. after a ribbon cutting at 7:40 a.m. with Store Manager Ken Abernathy

Customers will be able to take advantage of get-them-while-you-can grand opening special offers at the new store.
The first 100 customers will be presented a wooden coin redeemable for a special gift card ranging from $5 to $100 each. Shoppers can also sample an array of Lidl’s products and get a complimentary Lidl reusable bag while supplies last.

The fun continues throughout grand opening weekend with games, activities, prizes, special deals and giveaways.
"As a Philadelphia-area native I am delighted to help introduce shoppers in the area to Lidl’s unique shopping experience," Abernathy said. "It is especially exciting to help celebrate the grand opening of Lidl’s first store in Pennsylvania. Shoppers in Folsom have something great to look forward to, and my team and I are looking forward to serving the community!"
The new Folsom store will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
