Greater Philly's Air Among the State's Worst
A new report says Philadelphia and its surrounding counties have polluted air.

The very air we breath is some of the worst in Pennslyvania, at least according to one source.
The American Lung Association's "State of the Air 2013" report lists Philadelphia and its surrounding counties have some of the worst breathing air in the state. Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties all received "F" grades from the report.
As defined on the study's website, an "F" grade means than an area's air has more than nine days out of the year in which air pollution and ozone levels are above the suggested safety amount. Additonally, "F" graded areas mean that there were 10 "orange" days in a given year.

An "orange" air quality day, according to the ALA, is a day in which the air is "unhealthy for sensitive groups," including newborns and the elderly.
Things came up pretty bad for the Philadelphia area across the board. The Greater Philly area came up in the top 20 worst in the country for both ozone ranking and pollution by year.
