Help Delco Filmmakers Earn A Pitch With Hollywood Executives
Two area filmmakers need your support so they can earn a pitch with Hollywood producers the Duplass Brothers

Two area natives, one an actor and the other a director, are looking to put Delaware County on the map by landing a pitch with Hollywood filmmakers and need the community's support to earn the pitch spot.
Director Omri Dorani and actor Jeff Ayars, both area natives and co creators of the short film "This Is Our Home," are entered in the "Hometown Heroes Rally" contest. The contest can get them face time with the Duplass Brothers, independent filmmakers who have produced films, documentaries, and TV shows with stars such as Bill Hader, Kristin Wiig, and Jason Schwartzman.
"This Is Our Home" is a self-described "relationship psycho-drama" that is set in Media, as Ayars is a Media native and was inspired by an "old spooky 1700s farmhouse" in which he grew up.

Check out the description of the film:
In Media, PA ("Everybody's Hometown"), there's nothing more important than relationships. Our story uses the lens of horror to tell a surreal tale about a young woman trapped with her fiancée in her childhood home, exposing the terrifying nature of sharing all of yourself with another person.
The young woman is played by Simone Policano, an Afro-Puerto Rican actress, while Ayars plays her fiance.

"We’re extremely excited by the prospect of bringing a film production and commerce to Media and the surrounding area," the filmmakers said on the contest website. "Not only do these towns have a lot of beautiful character, but Media in particular is 'America's First Fair-Trade Town,' and we’d love to support these businesses by buying our props, wardrobe, and food from them."
So how can you help these are natives? Head to their page on the contest website here and donate to their campaign.
As of Tuesday, Sept. 19, the campaign has raised $4,140 of its $7,500 goal, which is more than 55 percent.
The campaign ends Oct. 13, so there is still time to help these local filmmakers earn a pitch with the Duplass Brothers.
Various donation levels get you exclusives related to the film, including social media shout outs, custom Halloween voicemail messages, and even producer credits.
