Route 1 In Springfield Restricted Daily This Week
Drilling work will force lane restriction on U.S. Route 1 in Springfield and several nearby municipalities this week, PennDOT said
SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA – Lane restrictions are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 1 in Springfield and several nearby municipalities this week due to drilling work, PennDOT said.
The road will be restricted between Fairville Road and Haverford Avenue/Haverford Road in Springfield, Marple, Upper Darby, Haverford, Chadds Ford, Concord, Middletown, and Upper Providence townships and Chester Heights Borough.
The restrictions will be in place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, July 23 through Friday, July 27.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups will occur.
