Shred Documents, Trash E-Waste And Meds Saturday In Delco

Stat Rep. Jennifer O'Mara, State Sen. Tim Kearney, and DA Jack Stollsteimer will host the event this weekend in Springfield.

SPRINGFIELD, PA — Delaware County residents can shred sensitive documents, dispose of e-waste, and safety get rid of old medications at an event being hosted by State Rep. Jennifer O'Mara this weekend.

O’Mara is hosting a paper shredding, e-waste and prescription drug takeback event in conjunction with State Sen. Tim Kearney and Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer Saturday.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, or until the truck is full in the parking lot of O’Mara’s district office, 905 W. Sproul Road in Springfield.

Up to four boxes or bags of documents containing sensitive information to be securely shredded on site.

Electronic devices containing personal data — such as hard drives, laptops and cellphones — and unneeded or expired prescription medications can be disposed of safely at the event.

TVs, computer monitors, household appliances, as well as medicine with syringes will not be accepted.
