Springfield 4th Of July Celebration: What You Need To Know
Don't miss the parade, events in the park, free ice cream, and much more in Springfield Township on Independence Day.

SPRINGFIELD, PA – Springfield Township's 4th of July Celebration is all set to bring family fun to the township in honor of our nation's birth.
The celebration begins at 8 a.m. Tuesday, July 4 with judging of bike (helmets required) and floats that will march in the parade. Judging will last until 9 a.m. at the Springfield High School parking lot, 49 W Leamy Ave.
Awards for bikes and floats will be presented at Veterans Memorial Park bandstand following the parade.

The parade will step off at 9 a.m. from the high school and head west on Leamy to Powell Road, then from Powell to Saxer Avenue, Saxer to Springfield Road, then to Veterans Memorial Park.
Following the parade, the park will host a flag raising ceremony, a salute to veterans, and the National Anthem performed by the Media Dixies.

The park will also feature free ice cream, pony rides, a bounce house, face painting, and much more.
Kids can also compete in the 50 and 100 yard dash races, three-legged races, and the Springfield Run for Fun (adults can participate in the run, as well).
Covenant United Methodist Church, 212 W. Springfield Road, will act as the event's hospitality center and will offer lemonade, restrooms, and refreshing air conditioning to attendees.
The celebration is presented by the Lions Club of Springfield.
Weather and cancellation information will be broadcast on the radio at KYW 1060 AM.
