Springfield Crime Blotter: Drugs, Guns, Underage Drinking, More

Police said a Morton man was found to have drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded gun during a traffic stop. See details on this and more.

SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between March 5 and March 6.

March 5 at 1:38 p.m.
An employee at Springfield Hospital Pavilion II, 100 block West Sproul Road, reported sometime during the morning hours her purse was stolen from a work office. She was alerted that several credit cards had then been used at various stores inside Springfield Mall. Det. McCarthy is investigating.

March 5 at 10:19 p.m.
A 15-year-old juvenile male from Springfield was charged with Underage Drinking and Disorderly Conduct after being found at the Wawa at 100 block Saxer Avenue urinating on the side of the building and being intoxicated. He was turned over to family.

March 6 at 2 a.m.
Ofc. Lord conducted a vehicle stop on the 600 block Baltimore Pike on a vehicle with an expired
registration and faulty equipment. While investigating the driver, drugs and drug paraphernalia were found inside the vehicle along with a loaded firearm. Nelson Miller, 21 yrs. old from Morton, was taken into custody and charged with drug and weapons offenses and held for arraignment.

March 6 at 1:15 p.m.
A resident of the 400 block Pinecrest Road reported someone entered his unlocked vehicle in the driveway overnight. Nothing was found to have been taken
