SPRINGFIELD, PA — Springfield Police issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between March 30 and April 4.

March 30 at 7:37 p.m.
A resident of the unit block Greenhill Road reported a sign was stolen from the front yard.
March 31 at 3:21 p.m.
A shopper at the CVS, 700 block South Chester Road, reported she had put her phone down on the self-checkout counter, and then it went missing. Video surveillance showed an unknown male taking the phone from the counter. Det. McCarthy is investigating.

April 1 at 12:45 p.m.
Employees at Giant, 900 block Baltimore Pike, reported a male subject had stolen several bathing products from display and left the area in a vehicle. They recognized the male from prior thefts. Det. McCarthy is investigating.
April 2 at 9:22 p.m.
While on patrol, Sgt. Welsh observed a male subject unsteady on his feet and he walked through the parking lot of the Days Inn, 600 block Baltimore Pike. The male was found to be intoxicated and possessed a quantity of methamphetamine. He was found to be not staying at the inn. The 22-year-old male from Delaware was taken into custody and processed before being released. Drug charges are pending.
April 3 at 1:16 a.m.
While on patrol, Ofc. Walsh observed a vehicle parked halfway in a parking space at the Wawa, 100 block Saxer Avenue. The vehicle was running, and the driver was not conscious. Contact was made with the driver who appeared intoxicated. The driver, a 36-year-old female from Broomall, admitted to smoking crack and had in her possession numerous baggies of suspected heroin, crack, and drug paraphernalia. She was taken into custody and submitted to a blood test at a hospital. She was kept there for treatment. Charges for DUI and drug offenses will be filed.
April 3 at 3 p.m.
A resident of the 200 block Ballymore Road reported a group of juveniles had thrown a rock through his vinyl fence in the rear of the property that abuts the trolley tracks. Responding officers located the group walking along the tracks towards the mall. They were identified, and one admitted to throwing the rock. Charges for Criminal mischief will be filed.
April 3 at 4:17 p.m.
Employees at CVS, 700 block Baltimore Pike, reported a male subject had stolen over $500 worth of merchandise that he placed in a shopping bag and left the store on foot. Responding Officers located the male walking in the 400 block Baltimore Pike. Morton and stopped him. All merchandise was recovered, and a 34-year-old from Philadelphia was taken into custody and charged with Retail Theft. He was held for arraignment and transported to Delaware County Prison.
April 4 at 3:34 a.m.
A vehicle stop conducted by Ofc. Lord on the 100 block North State Road resulted in the driver being found to have consumed an alcoholic beverage and in possession of a bottle of liquor. The male, 19, of Wilmington, Delaware, was not found to be DUI and was charged with traffic offenses and Underage Drinking. He was later turned over to family.
