Springfield Crime Blotter: Hit And Run, DUI, Disorderly Conduct

SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between June 9 and June 12.

June 9, 8:28 p.m.
A resident of the 600 block of Wynne Road reported that sometime during the morning hours a male subject walked onto her property in the rear and attempted to cut copper from the air conditioner condenser unit, which caused damage. Witnesses said the male posed as a HVAC repair man. Det. McNeely is investigating.

June 10, 1:05 p.m.
Officers responded to Bertucci’s Restaurant, 900 block of Baltimore Pike, to investigate a female in the bar area cursing and bothering customers. They located a 46-year-old female from Secane who was highly intoxicated. She was taken into custody and released to family. Charges for Disorderly Conduct and Public Drunkenness will be filed.

June 12, 12:51 a.m.
Officers investigated a crash in which a vehicle struck a parked vehicle on the 100 block of Claremont Road. Responding officers located the striking vehicle with heavy front end damage driving on the 300 block Kent Road. The vehicle was stopped, and the driver found to be intoxicated. The 24-year-old male from Springfield was taken into custody. He was later released to family, and charges for Hit and Run, DUI, and other traffic offenses will be filed
