Springfield Home Sales Up in August

Property settlements in Springfield Township during August of 2013 increased 35 percent from the same month last year. 

According to a report from Prudential Fox and Roach, there were 31 properties that closed in August, compared with 23 from last year.

The median price of the properties that did sell in August of 2013 increased 4.5 percent over the same period last year, from $247,000 to $258,000.

The average days on the market decreased by 27 percent from 112 to 81 days between last August and this August.
