Springfield Junior Woman's Club High School Honorees

Four of Springfield High School's top female Seniors honored at May Meeting

On Thursday May 20th, four female Senior students from Springfield High School were honored during the May ( yes , IN-person) meeting of the Springfield Junior Woman's Club at the Springfield Township Building. The young ladies: Claire Emch, Jordon Galloway, Carlyne McGurk, and Brenna Montgomery, along with their parents, were given kudos for their academic, volunteering and service achievements as noted and voted on by the Springfield High School faculty and Guidance departments.

The mission of our Springfield Junior Woman’s club, which started in 1952, is to develop educational, civic and social interests of its members, to advance the welfare of the community and to promote the progress and work of the General Federation of Woman’s Club of Pennsylvania. The GFWC is a national organization as well. Our local Springfield chapter is a volunteer organization of women of all “walks of life”: Young mothers just starting out, teachers, career women, women in healthcare, homemakers and retired women. While our name is “Junior” our ages range from young to “mature” but the mission is the same for all of us. To be part of an organization that is involved in promoting and being the face of women who serve our great community here in Springfield.

It is with great pride our organization honors these amazing young ladies and we wish them all the best of luck as they graduate Springfield High School Class of 2021. Congrats Ladies!
