Springfield Mall Closing On Thanksgiving, Hours Expanding
The Springfield Mall is just one of many that will be closed on Thanksgiving.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — The Springfield Mall will officially be closed on Thanksgiving.
The mall's owner, PREIT, announced the Springfield Mall and its other malls will be closed on Thanksgiving Day to give front line retail and property management teams a chance to spend the holiday with their families.
"As consumer demands and priorities shift, we continue to be responsive and are grateful to the associates running our properties and the stores, entertainment venues and restaurants within them," said Joseph F. Coradino, Chairman and CEO of PREIT.

In addition to the Thanksgiving closure announcement, the Springfield Mall and other PREIT malls will extend their hours.

Starting Oct. 2, the Springfield Mall and other PREIT malls will extend Friday and Saturday hours to be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Regular hours — 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday — will be in place all other days.ma
The shift comes as more experiential tenants ramp up operations.
