Springfield Police Offering $5K Reward In Armed Robbery Investigation

Police are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the man wanted for sticking up a Rite Aid.

Police in Springfield are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the man wanted for sticking up a Rite Aid store last weekend.

According to the Delaware County Daily Times, the unidentified man, brandishing a black handgun, walked into the store, located on Saxer Avenue, shortly before 8:30 a.m. He reportedly moved the employees into an office, where he forced them to turn over an unspecified amount of cash.

The man, who concealed his face with a yellow rag throughout the robbery, has been described in the Times as a black male in his late 20s, between 5-feet, 5-inches and 5-feet, 7-inches tall, with an athletic build. He reportedly had a long goatee during the time of the robbery.
