Tornado Watch In Effect

The watch has been issued for Philadelphia, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for parts of eastern and central Pennsylvania, including Philadelphia, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties.

The watch is in effect until 10 p.m. Monday.

A tornado watch means, “Atmospheric conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes,” according to the National Weather Service.
