Upper Darby Police Searching For Man Wanted For Attempted Murder: Report

Police are searching for a man they say is responsible for a shooting that sent another man to the hospital in critical condition.

Police in Upper Darby are searching for a man they say is responsible for a shooting in Fernwood that sent another man to the hospital in critical condition, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.

Craig Monroe, 30, of Philadelphia, is wanted by Upper Darby police, who say he shot a man in the early morning hours Saturday outside Dan’s Corner Tavern. He allegedly fled the scene in a car at about 2:30 a.m. following the shooting, then reportedly crashed into other vehicles at the corner of 61st Street and Baltimore Avenue.

Authorities in their investigation have been to Monroe’s home, where they served grand jury subpoenas to his mother and sister.

The victim of the shooting remained at Penn Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition as of late Thursday morning, according to the report.
