Free drive-in showing of ‘A Horse Called Bear’ scheduled July 17

A free drive in moving showing of 'A Horse Called Bear" is scheduled for Friday, July 17 at Mohrsville Church of the Brethren in Berks County.

The showing will be presented by USA Theatres, a portable outdoor theatre company based in South Central Pennsylvania.

"It's going to be a fantastic show," said Ronald M. Vastola, Outreach Coordinator for USA Theatres.

A Horse Called Bear is an American family drama film about an orphaned boy who inherits a horse. The film was produced by Penny Carlisi, directed by Daniel Knudsen and was awarded the official Dove seal of family approval from the Dove Foundation.

"Hot dogs, snacks, drinks and popcorn will be delivered to your vehicle," said Scott Cooper, Pastor at Mohrsville Church of the Brethren.

The Parking lot will open at 7 p.m. on July 17 at Mohrsville Church of the Brethren, 1542 Shoey Road in Centre Township.

Admission is free and the movie will begin at dusk, around 9 p.m. Rain date is July 18.
